Big Bear Halibut Charters has been operating out of Homer, Alaska for the past 32 years and has won the Homer Jackpot Halibut Derby 6 times! Our captains are USCG licensed and all of our staff are extremely well trained, we know where the big fish are.

Our Boats
The Bear Force I and Bear Force II, are spacious 37-foot twin engine Tollycraft yachts; providing "large boat" comfort and safety, with friendly six-passenger service and personal attention. Our boats are manufactured to withstand the water conditions found in the Gulf of Alaska.
On board you will find clean, private and modern restrooms, heated cabins, and even a leather sofa! They are electronically equipped, meeting rigid Coast Guard safety standards.
Staffed by knowledgeable Coast Guard licensed captains and experienced deckhands, who know where the big fish are!

Cozy Bear Cottage is located on our boardwalk, making it the most convenient and affordable solution for turning your halibut fishing trip into a vacation!
Our quaint little cottage has two separate levels; you can rent both levels or just one. The lower level sleeps 4 with a bunk bed and a trundle bed. There is a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, tv for DVD's. The upper level sleeps two with a queen size bed. There is a microwave, coffee pot, and tv for DVD's.
